What is the 10% means?
We know percentage means a value or a rate in 100. it means, when we are saying 10 % it means 10 out of 100.
Again if you say 5% discount then it means 5 Taka discount in100 taka.
আমারা বলতে পারি শতকরা মানে হল ১০০ এর মধ্যে কত ? মানে যেমন উপরের উদাহরনে আমারা লিখলাম ৫% ডিস্কাউন্ট মানে প্রতি ১০০ টাকায় আপনি ৫ টাকা ছাড় পাবেন ।

What is the 10 % of 200?
Ans : 20
How : In this type of math “ of ” means product or multiplication.
So, we can write ,
10% * 200
= 10/100 * 200
= 10 * 2
= 20
